Orange Tyger is an easily grown highly productive chilli. Excellent in the border or pots. If you like hot chillies, this is a winner. Looks striking with a huge crop of HOT, slender, bright orange chillies, ripening from green.

Great citrus flavour and amazingly complex pungency. The first sharp heat fades quickly to be replaced by a slower more enduring heat. The heat seems to affect different parts of the mouth at different times, making it a really interesting experience for the chilli lover. Orange Tyger is an essential variety for Thai-style cooking, and brilliant chopped in stir-fries with prawns, chicken or beef. Also dries well.

The pods are long, thin and colourful,  ready to harvest from July.

Species: Capsicum Annuum

Heat Rating: 100,000 - 300,000 Scoville Units. What is a Scoville unit?

Fruits in approx 90-120 days from potting on

Best placed on a sunny windowsill, ideally a greenhouse, will go in a border outside if sheltered from cold wind.

Water when the soil is nearly dry, usually once daily if required however in peak summer on hot days we water early in the mornings and check again later in the day

Plug Plants: Delivery April / May, supplied in 50mm x 50mm x 50mm Jiffy 7 Coco Coir Blocks (which are fully biodegradable and sustainable) ready for potting on ( just put the whole block straight into the pot ).
