Jalapeño Early Chilli Plant

The Jalapeño, probably one of the most commonly recognised chillies in the world, mainly used in Mexican dishes, for pickling, dried or fresh. Jalapeño is so versatile it can be served on and with all sorts of things from fajita to sub sandwiches, pizza to nachos, it is delicious chilli pepper. Plants product medium, fat green bullet shaped fruits with medium thick fruit walls, starting a deep dark green and ripening to a bright red. This particular variety is earlier maturing than standard Jalapeño chilli plants, ensuring you get a good ripe crop in mid summer. just in time for BBQ

Fruits in approx 120 days from potting on 

Best placed on a sunny windowsill, ideally a greenhouse, sheltered from cold wind.

Water when the soil is nearly dry, usually once daily if required however in peak summer on hot days we water early in the mornings and check again later in the day

Plug Plants : Delivery April / May, supplied in 50mm x 50mm x 50mm Jiffy 7 Coco Coir Blocks (which are fully biodegradable and sustainable) ready for potting on ( just put the whole block straight into the pot ).

Young Plants : Delivery May / June, supplied in a 9cm fibre biodegradable pot, (still in it's 50mm square Jiffy block), more expensive but we will look after them for longer for you and the plant will be much larger, ready for it's grow bag or container.

Please Note: Delivery of chilli plants is usually from mid April onwards for plug plants and mid May for young plants depending on the weather. We will notify you by email when we ship your order.

Feed once a week with Chilli Focus or tomato feed.
