Jamaican Hot Chilli Plant

The Jamaican Hot Chocolate Pepper matures to a rich brown colour with ribbed and wrinkled skin. They grow to about 2 inches and have a very spicy Caribbean flavour. They are great for use in hot sauces and marinades. The Jamaican Hot Red or Yellow Pepper is squash-shaped with thinner skin and matures to a bright yellow or red. The red is slightly spicier than the other two varieties. These can be pickled or even eaten fresh if you can get past the intense heat. 

We aren't sure what colour these are so it's a bit of pot luck with this pepper!

Fruits in approx 100 days from potting on 

Best placed on a sunny windowsill, ideally a greenhouse, sheltered from cold wind.

Water when the soil is nearly dry, usually once daily if required however in peak summer on hot days we water early in the mornings and check again later in the day

Plug Plants : Delivery April / May, supplied in 50mm x 50mm x 50mm Jiffy 7 Coco Coir Blocks (which are fully biodegradable and sustainable) ready for potting on ( just put the whole block straight into the pot ).

Young Plants : Delivery May / June, supplied in a 9cm fibre biodegradable pot, (still in it's 50mm square Jiffy block), more expensive but we will look after them for longer for you and the plant will be much larger, ready for it's grow bag or container.

Please Note: Delivery of chilli plants is usually from mid April onwards for plug plants and mid May for young plants depending on the weather. We will notify you by email when we ship your order.

Feed once a week with Chilli Focus or tomato feed.
