Hot Lemon Chilli Plant

Hot Lemon, sometimes known as Aji Lemon or Lemon Drop is an Aji type pepper with vivid yellow shiny wrinkled pods. (Capsicum Baccatum). The fruits are about 7cm long by 1-2cm and have a lovely citrusy flavour - it is as hot as a cayenne, and yet it has a distinctly tart citrus taste. It's really good for a tangy salsa or using in a variety of cooked dishes - why not try our Lemon Drop Chilli Jelly.

Plants are of medium height - approximately 45cm - and have a branching habit although it may require staking as it becomes heavy with fruits. Very productive, early flowering, early fruiting, heavy cropping plant.

Hot Lemon Chilli Plants are very tricky to germinate so if you manage to get one of these do look after it!

Supplied in 50mm x 50mm x 50mm Jiffy 7 Coco Coir Blocks (which are fully biodegradable and sustainable) ready for potting on ( just put the whole block straight into the pot )

Fruits approx 100 days from potting on. 

Best placed on a sunny windowsill, ideally a greenhouse, sheltered from cold wind.

Water when the soil is nearly dry, usually once daily if required however in peak summer on hot days we water early in the mornings and check again later in the day

Feed once a week with Chilli Focus or tomato feed.
